Description
There must be a better way to accept that the supernatural creation of the universe is real than to deny and dispute all the scientific evidence. There’s too much credible scientific evidence and research that must be dismissed. Science doesn’t disprove that there is (or might be) a supernatural reality anyway. There must be a way to explain how the evidence of a natural origin of the universe and a natural evolution of life can exist in a supernaturally created universe. How can a natural origin of the universe almost 14 billion years ago and a supernatural creation of the universe less than ten thousand years ago both be true? How can a natural evolution of life on earth spanning 3.5 billion years and the supernatural creation of all life fully-formed less than ten thousand years ago also be true? We just need a better understanding of the relationship between the supernatural and natural aspects of reality. This book explores that relationship and proposes a way in which the natural and supernatural explanations can both be accepted without the compromise of either. A strict scientific or theological approach to reconciling the worldviews of science and religion may be impossible, but there is a philosophical approach. There is a way that allows scientists to reach conclusions based on a rigorous and peer-reviewed application of the scientific method, while also allowing theologians to accept literal religious interpretations.Simply speaking, scientists and theologians study different aspects of an overall reality. Religion explains the supernatural creation of the universe, while science explains the natural evidence and physics of that same universe. Together they provide a richer description of reality than either does on their own.
