Description
The storyline is set in 1938, during the Harlem Renaissance. Three African American men from Harlem, New York, embark on a trip to Louisiana in an old Model T during the Depression and pre-World War II.Toby, an intelligent, calm, and logical thinker; Marcus, a wise-cracking piano player and gambler; and Country, a hot-tempered street fighter. All three ventured to the Jim Crow South, where they experienced the denigration and disparagement of racism.
